dear dope chick: this week’s focus word: switch

google.com

Switch (noun) – definition 1: It sounds like I could be the device for making and breaking connections of the energy circuit flowing throughout my body.

We possess gates that connect to our soul that influence how we feel, react, express, etc.

The eye gate = what we see and witness

The ear gate = what we hear

The mouth gate = what we say

Switch (noun) – definition 2: If and when we control what enters and exits our gates, we can switch or exchange a positive policy or way of life for a negative.

Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship. 2And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

Romans 12:1-2, Amplified Bible

Switch (verb) – definition 1: #bloglikecrazy has made me realize how much I write about faith over fear. Words that were given to me in 2006 ring true in my ears to this day – Stand fast in the liberty of Christ. Don’t be moved by what you see. It’s a faith walk. Just do it! My best friend is often encouraging me to do it scared. I never knew how much fear kept me stagnant and stale, so it is time to make the switch.

But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth].

James 1:2, Amplified Bible

Switch (verb) – definition 2: this is the physical act of what I need to do in my life right now!

As instructed by the dope chick, I inhale with every breath while releasing the antonym (which I think would be to either stay on or remain off, unmoving) on every exhale and I will let it guide me and inspire me, as it did with this post.

Give love. Get love.
